Lifestyle Textile and Garment Export Limited (Lifestyle) was incorporated in Ghana as a limited liability company on 13th September 2020. Lifestyle is a sewing and fashion design company located in Accra. The company commenced operations on the backdrop of empowering women to take up opportunities in the sewing, fashion and cosmetology industry as it is a thriving profession. Lifestyle Textiles and Garments Exports is a company dedicated to development and empowerment of women through skills acquisition, knowledge in the fashion industry and other Vocational and Technical trade.

The company was registered to take advantage of the gaps in the fashion industry in Ghana and, as a tool for the empowerment and development of women. Since its inception has undertaken governmental and private projects such as sewing of face-masks, bed sheets, clothing and other individual to group contracts. Currently the company has established its own fashion line, fashion production centre and a fully accredited Fashion, Cosmetology and Vocational Training Institute set to open early 2022.

WHAT WE DO

The activities of Lifestyle Ink include making kaftans, shirts, shorts and shirts, women working suits and night gowns which are produced per client orders. Our incredible collection has the most extensive range in men's and women's African apparel and design.

The Founder

Lifestyle Textile and Garment Export Limited was founded by Madam Susana Mitchell, a social entrepreneur who founded the company out of her passion for Community Development, Women Empowerment, Skills Acquisition and Health promotion. For the past 22 years, Madam Mitchell has been involved in philanthropic activities that have been aimed at ensuring that women and other disadvantaged or vulnerable members of society are empowered with the skills and mind-set they need to overcome poverty. As part of this process, she embarked on various activities such as sensitization of all 10 regions in Ghana on HIV and AIDS and reproductive health. Additionally, she provided training to queen mothers, women and the youth in Akyem Abuakwa area in business and financing. Her main aim was to support women who wanted to earn a living on their own and support their families. This was because she discovered that many of the victims of HIV/AIDS and other forms of abuse were women who have been left vulnerable by poverty. So, in addition to setting up non-governmental organisations and working with national and international institutions to address these issues, Madam Mitchell also invested into businesses that could train women and other vulnerable groups with certain employable skills and to employ these women after their training. This culminated in setting up Lifestyle Vocational and Training Institute Limited as one of the vehicles to offer training and provide employment in the fashion and cosmetology industry to women and vulnerable groups and also to operate a financially viable business model at the same time. The company hopes to penetrate the fashion industry with cost-cutting designs and products. It is the goal of the company to be recognized as one of the leading brands in Ghana and also as one of the top exporters of African fashion mixed with European style in the near future.
